The opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven administration and project management experience who is keen to develop their experience in the social impact investment sector as part of our mission-driven Investment Group.
This role is key supporting the effective management of our investment activity and team, including our learning and development offer. This is a varied role that requires a logical and thoughtful approach to ensure management of multiple work streams with rigour and purpose in a timely and professional manner.
We celebrate innovation and this role would suit someone who is client-centric and excited by making systems work well, suggesting recommendations for adaptation and improvement.

What you will do:
Investment Management Project Support
- Support the delivery of our Investment Activity Calendar (for example Investment Committee, Performance Committee) including scheduling meetings, collating and disseminating papers, and supporting with minute-taking as required
- Support the project management of key milestones and activity tracking across our new and portfolio investments to enable effective management of our investments and resources
- Support the completion of investment-related checklists at different stages of an investment’s life to ensure we deliver our best-in-class impact investment processes
- Support the record and data management of our investments
Team Management Support
- Support the production of team management information to enable effective team and resource management
- Support the team’s ongoing resource management, recruitment and onboarding process for new joiners to ensure a quality and consistent experience for every team member
- Provide ad-hoc team administration support including team meetings, away days, travel bookings for the team members
- Supporting the Chief Investment Officers’ diary management and other senior members of the team to organise multi-stakeholder meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage incoming enquiries via email and telephone, responding or routing to colleague as needed
- Supporting Investment Group’s relationship management using Salesforce CRM database, Notion and BSC’s intranet
Investment Learning and Development Support
- Project manage our bi-annual Foundations of Social Investment Programme for internal and external colleagues enabling knowledge sharing and network building
- Support the project management of the Investment Group’s learning resources and coordinate the training schedule and external bookings
Other support
- Providing admin support together with other support staff across Better Society Capital, sharing best practice and cover when needed

Experience Essential experience
- A strong background in project management support and administrative support
- Experience working in a busy office environment handling a varied and sometimes conflicting workload
- Working as part of a team, building relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and providing support
- Experience in supporting committees, collating papers and liaising with committee stakeholders
- Confident and competent use of Microsoft Office Desirable Experience
- Experience of working within the financial services, charity or social enterprise sector
- Experience of broader software platforms for example Salesforce CRM, Slack, Notion

- Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Chancery Lane area of London, accessible to a number of public transport links. Colleagues typically spend 40% - 60% of their working hours in the office, and the remainder from home.
