David Burndred

David joined Better Society Capital in 2017 as CFOO and since mid-2024 has been one of our Senior Advisors providing support on a range of project matters with a current focus on supporting operational aspects of capital mobilisation initiatives and a recent secondment to BSC’s sister organisation Fair4All Finance.

Prior to joining BSC, David was CFO at Lewis Silkin LLP, a leading professional services firm, and previously held a number of senior financial leadership roles at Eversheds LLP and Laird Plc, a FTSE 250 technology business. Earlier in his career David spent nine years at CDC Group as an Investment Manager growing and managing a portfolio of impact investments in several African countries.

David currently holds board governance roles with Opportunity International UK, the Commonwealth Secretariat and St Paul’s Cathedral and until recently was Chair of a successful Community Sports organisation.
