About Alan

Alan is Executive Chair of Hill & Smith PLC and Chair of Watkin Jones Plc.

Alan was formerly a Managing Partner and Global Head of Private Equity at 3i Group plc, and a member of its Executive and Investment Committees. Prior to this Alan was Global Sector Head for Business & Technology Services.

Before joining 3i Alan spent 13 years in investment banking, advising a range of quoted and private equity owned businesses. Alan started his career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, and has a degree in Economics from Durham University.
