David Burndred

About David

David joined Better Society Capital in 2017 and is responsible for the delivery of effective support through leadership of the Finance, Legal/Compliance, People & Talent, IT, Data & Portfolio and Business Support teams.

Prior to joining the team, David was CFO at Lewis Silkin LLP, a leading professional services firm, and previously held a number of senior financial leadership roles at Eversheds LLP and Laird Plc, a FTSE 250 technology business. Earlier in his career David spent nine years at CDC Group as an Investment Manager growing and managing a portfolio of impact investments in several African countries and is currently a member of the CDC Alumni Steering Group. David started his career with PWC and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a graduate of Exeter University.

David also advises a number of charitable organisations on financial management and strategy matters and is actively involved with his local community as a trustee of a Community Sports organisation. He is a member of the Grants Committee for a City Livery Company and also mentors year 11 pupils at an Academy in Inner London.
