Neil oversees legal and regulatory matters as General Counsel with Charlotte Benson.

Neil is an experienced General Counsel who has spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry. He has worked in banking (Barclays), insurance (Zurich) and impact investing for five years at Big Society Capital. An important milestone at BSC was supporting the launch of the first listed social impact investment trust, Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust plc.

Neil has held executive and trustee roles in the private and charity sectors. He was chair of the National Biodiversity Network Trust for six years, a charity whose mission is making biodiversity data accessible for the benefit of the natural world.

Having worked as senior counsel at the law firm Allen & Overy, Neil has managed in-house legal, compliance and governance teams of all shapes and sizes. He has a post-graduate qualification in environmental law.
