We want to give all candidates the opportunity to perform at their best when applying for a role. To avoid any surprises, here is an overview of our hiring process to help you prepare for your application and interview. This process acts as a guide but does not apply directly to all roles.
Applied application
We use the software platform Applied to support a fair and inclusive recruitment process and help minimise unconscious bias. Please apply via Applied by submitting your CV and a short cover letter. Your application will be anonymised and reviewed by the hiring panel to ensure a fair and objective assessment.
Values and competency interview
One hour interview for the panel to explore how your motivations, values, experience and competencies would be suited to the role you have applied for. You can familiarise yourself with our five values (don’t worry, we don’t ask you to memorise them!).
Presentation or case study
One to two hour interview including a presentation or exercise, directly related to the role you are interviewing for, to test your approach, ability to do the job and/or presentation style. This will either be sent to you to prepare in advance, or completed on the day for 30 minutes to one hour before meeting with the panel.
Further values and competency interview
Up to one hour with the panel for a further values and competency based interview and an opportunity to ask any remaining questions you have on the role, organisation or process.
To help us provide more detailed and timely feedback
We may use AI tools to assist in drafting candidate feedback following interviews. AI does not assess candidates or make hiring decisions. All recruitment decisions are made by our hiring teams.
Professional insight through our networks
As part of our recruitment process, we may, on occasion, seek informal professional insight through our networks for candidates who have completed an interview and are being considered ahead of an offer. This is not undertaken for every role or candidate and is used only to complement our formal assessment and interview process. All hiring decisions are made based on evidence from the full selection process and in line with our commitment to fair, inclusive and equitable recruitment.
